NIOSH and SCHC Announce New Partnership Agreement

In April 2022, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and the Society for Chemical Hazard Communication (SCHC) signed a new partnership agreement dedicated to collaborating to improve safety and health conditions at workplaces throughout the United States. The NIOSH and SCHC partnership will use collaborative efforts and expertise to advance the protection of workers, promote best practices, and encourage workers and employers to develop and utilize safety and health management programs and effective prevention strategies and technologies. A significant area of shared interest is in the advancement of hazard communication related to chemicals in the workplace. Other key objectives include exploring potential topics of mutual interest that advance occupational safety and health, and increasing awareness of both SCHC and NIOSH roles in promoting best practices.
