WHMIS 2015: An IntroductionPDF Brochure — Available September 25, 2017DescriptionThis course will provide an overview of the Canadian WHMIS 2015 requirements for suppliers. Participants are expected to have a good general understanding of the Globally Harmonized System for Classification and Labelling (GHS) and/or the U.S. Hazard Communication Standard 2012 (HCS 2012). The course will introduce the Canadian approach to the regulation of hazardous products, the WHMIS 2015 hazard classes and categories, SDS and supplier label requirements (including exemptions from these requirements), document retention requirements, and how to protect trade secrets (Confidential Business Information). Variances between the HCS 2012 and WHMIS 2015 implementations of the GHS will be highlighted. Note: This course will not cover how to classify hazardous products.Intended AudienceHazard communication professionals who need to understand the Canadian WHMIS 2015 requirements and how they differ from HCS 2012.
