Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our team. The Regulatory Affairs Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with all government regulations pertaining to the manufacturing, distribution, and use of our oilfield chemicals. The ideal candidate will have expertise in biocide regulations under the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and a strong understanding of relevant industry standards.

Job Location: Houston, TX (remote considered)

Job Responsibilities: 

•           Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing the use and handling of oilfield chemicals.

•           Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on company operations.

•           Interface with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other stakeholders to stay abreast of regulatory developments and advocate for the company's interests.

•           Prepare and submit regulatory filings, permits, and reports as required by regulatory authorities.

•           Conduct regulatory assessments of new products and formulations to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

•           Collaborate with internal teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and sales, to address regulatory issues and support product development initiatives.

•           Provide regulatory guidance and training to internal stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance.

· Managing the development and upkeep of precise and compliant product labels, safety data sheets (SDS), and other documentation needed by regulatory agencies.

Job Qualifications:

•           Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

•           Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the chemical industry, with specific expertise in biocide regulations under the EPA.

•           In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, including but not limited to TSCA, FIFRA, and OSHA regulations.

•           Familiarity with the Canadian regulatory environment, including Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA), is a plus.

•           Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and apply them to business operations.

•           Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

•           Proven track record of successfully managing regulatory compliance programs and navigating regulatory challenges.

•           Certification in regulatory affairs (e.g., RAC) is a plus.

Job Salary Range: Based on Experience
