Hazard Communication Auditing

PDF Brochure — Available September 23, 2019

Description

Recent years have seen a proliferation of hazardous chemical regulations, from the Globally Harmonized System to REACH-like registration laws to chemical content restrictions.  This increase in regulations is coupled with an increase in customer, consumer, and activist awareness of and demands for safe management of chemicals, creating much more public visibility of your company’s performance in hazard communication.  In this environment, there is a strong need to ensure that your hazard communication compliance programs are effective across all geographies in which you do business.

This presentation will introduce the value proposition for auditing your global GHS program.  It will provide a framework for conducting product hazard communication audits – from pre-audit preparation to after the audit.  Attendees will learn about the practical challenges of conducting GHS audits across multiple jurisdictions, as well as solutions to those challenges.

Following this course, attendees at the workshop will be able to:

  • Articulate the business case for conducting hazard communication audits
  • Determine the appropriate scope for their company’s hazard communication auditing program
  • Prepare for and conduct a hazard communication audit
  • Obtain resources to assist in hazard communication auditing
The course will include presentation information, case studies, and exercises to assist attendees to internalize the material.  This is an advanced course.  While there are no prerequisites for this course, it is recommended that participants have a good working knowledge of chemical hazard communication.
